This applies to all brands that manufacture brown and red switches, such as Cherry MX, Kailh, or Gateron. Brown switches are more scratchy and have a louder click than red switches. The brown switch has a quieter sound and is intended for gaming and office use. It has a soft touch and balanced performance and allows for quick successive key presses.
Case, plate, and keycaps can also have a profound impact on the overall typing sound (including volume) so look into those if you have the budget. If you enjoy the tactile bump, go brown otherwise reds are fine. I personally use Gateron Clears for work (programmer and analyst) which is linear with 35g actuation force and my hands love it. Just
